BHS SADD has had a very busy end of the school year. Students were able to go to 6th grade at BMS and teach mini lessons on the dangers of vaping and how to handle peer pressure. They also took their lessons to the Education Day at the Altoona Curve and interacted with students and set up a display on the dangers of vaping, alcohol, and other drugs. BHS student members had the opportunity to listen to an uplifting and inspiring story of recovery from a world renowned speaker at Penn Highlands Community College. Finally, the highlight of their year was traveling to the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh to provide lunch for the families that are currently staying at the house. They were also able to donate over $300 in toys to replenish the Toy Forest for kids and
siblings undergoing medical treatment. It was an incredible and impactful day for our students. BHS SADD appreciates all of the support by our administration and the Safe and Drug Free Schools committee.
BHS SADD has had a busy month!
