Allegany College of Maryland and Bedford High School are grateful to ECM Insurance Group for continuing their $500,000 Educational Improvement Tax Credit donation to the Bedford County Regional Education Foundation at Allegany College of Maryland for the 2024-2025 early college program. Their donation, along with donations from Rutters, Hometown Bank of PA, Structural Fiberglass, Bun-Air Corporation, First Commonwealth Bank, Weis Markets, and Nutrition, Inc., will help provide financial accessibility to high school students who wish to take ACM early college coursework.
Funding received through ECM Insurance Group will benefit early college students residing in any of the Bedford County School Districts. These students will receive funding to cover the cost of tuition and fees for a maximum of 6 credits during the fall semester and 6 credits during the spring semester. Students who take more than 6 credits during the semester will be responsible to pay the additional tuition charges. Through the generosity of EITC donors, textbooks and course fees for all early college classes will be provided. The funding covers ACM classes early college students take in their high schools, at the Bedford County Campus, or online. Courses taken at the Cumberland Campus are not covered by this funding unless the student is in the P-TECH Pennsylvania program.
